The material valuation function of our cost accounting software assesses the materials management cycle for quantitative movements and records them as financial entries as the levels of stock fluctuate. With material valuation, users have information readily available for decision making and the ability to preview entries without affecting financial accounting.
Material valuation can be used to establish an inventory of unfinished products and provide valuation of your manufacturing costs. Prices can be entered for valuation at the same time as the quantity information is entered. If prices are not available immediately at the time the quantity is entered, the prices can be added later. After pricing information is entered, you can just implement a revaluation to update the software with the valuation prices information added. The material costs can then be transferred to the cost accounting software.
